Our Founder
Shaylee Metz-Farrell
Owner | Diamonds and Twine Equine | Equine Professional | Community Leader
Born and raised in Wyoming, Shaylee Metz-Farrell is a multi-talented equine professional, business owner, and dedicated community advocate based in Riverton, WY. Alongside her husband and children, Shaylee lives on a thriving 60-acre property home to a diverse menagerie of horses, ponies, a donkey, a cow, chickens, dogs, and cats.
In 2019, Shaylee founded Diamonds and Twine Equine, a comprehensive horse boarding and events center offering horse breeding, training, riding lessons, equine bodywork and therapy, and equine matchmaking services. With over a decade of hands-on experience and a deep-rooted passion for horsemanship, Shaylee’s work emphasizes both the physical and emotional well-being of horses and riders alike.
In addition to running her business, Shaylee works full-time as an office administrator for a local Irrigation District, playing a critical role in supporting the farmers and ranchers who define Wyoming’s agricultural community. Her husband is a heavy-haul operator, and together they instill in their three children a strong work ethic and love for rural life.
Shaylee holds six associate degrees—including specialties in Horse Management, Horse Science, Criminal Justice, and Psychology—as well as certifications in Equine Management, Equine Training, Teaching Riding, and the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA). She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Equine Studies through Post University after initially studying Criminal Justice and Psychology at the University of Wyoming.
A competitor working toward her WPRA permit in barrel racing and breakaway roping, Shaylee also devotes significant time to community service. She serves as President of the Fremont County Fair Royalty Committee, where she collaborates with the Fair Board, Friends of Fair, and Wind River PRCA Round-Up Rodeo committee. She also contributes to the leadership of the Fremont County Event Center and sits on the board for the Wyoming All Breed Racing Association (WABRA).
With a unique blend of academic knowledge, practical expertise, and a heart for service, Shaylee Metz-Farrell is a dynamic force in the equine world and her local community.

Overnight Boarding
Whether you’re traveling or need a place for your horse to stay for a night, Diamonds and Twine Equine offers comfortable and affordable Overnight Boarding.

RV Spots
We offer convenient RV parking for visitors and boarders. Choose from our available spots, each with the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay.

For owners who prefer a balance between independence and professional assistance, we offer a Self-Care with Caretaker Option. This allows you to care for your horse yourself or hire caretakers for specific tasks.

Rescues
At Diamonds and Twine Equine, we believe every horse deserves a second chance. Our Rescue program provides a safe haven for surrendered horses, where they receive the care, attention, and rehabilitation they need.

While you’re away, you can trust Diamonds and Twine Equine to provide your animals with the highest level of care. We offer Horse and Hound Sitting services to ensure your horses and other pets are well-cared for, giving you peace of mind.
